• Making Matter has VRML models of many crystal structures, together with descriptions.
• Crystal Lattice Images from LSU has 3-D stereo diagrams of crystal structures.
• The Structure of Crystals has VRML models of crystal structures and lattices.
• Crystal Structure Applets has Java-based 3-D interactive rendering of various lattice types.
• Crystal Structure Movies has Quicktime movies of many mineral structures.

X-ray Diffraction

• Bragg's law will be used in lab, and is illustrated in the ingenious demo by Konstantin Lukin
• X-ray diffraction software from CrystalMaker (for Macs) is also useful

Mineralogy, Petrology, Geochemistry - General

• The Virtual Petrographic Microscope, hosted at UCLA, runs on a slow server, but has many good mineral images.
• The Mineral Gallery is a store, but has many nice images of crystals.

• A comprehensive web-based flow chart for the IUGS Classification of Igneous Rocks. Any igneous rock can be named this way.
